Abstract

The present work aims to reflect critically on the current model of capitalist production of urban space. Based on the analysis of the territorial transformations that took place in Praia do Paiva, located in the metropolitan area of the city of Recife, with the implementation of the Residential and Services Real Estate Complex. In this way, we seek to collaborate with the development of critical thinking about the right to the city and to strengthen mechanisms of struggle that work in the construction of a new, just, democratic and citizen urban structure.
