As mulheres na história da filosofia : da misoginia ao epistemicídio

Abstract

This work aims to analyze gender and racial inequality in the area of philosophy and the phenomena that caused such exclusion to groups marginalized by the traditional philosophical canon. To this end, we searched for data on the presence of female philosophers in philosophy textbooks distributed by the National Textbook Program in 2018 and data on the presence of women and black people in the academic field of philosophy as teachers and students. Furthermore, there was also an analysis of male discourses about women, the origin of misogyny, patriarchal society, and racial hierarchization in our Western society and the way in which coloniality and its systems of epistemicide promoted an even greater silencing in black women philosophers.
