Reflexões acerca da diversidade geográfica e institucional no município

Abstract

It is part of the History of Urbanization and Urban Sociology to propose an analysis of the diversity verified in the Brazilian municipalities, given the institutional monotony applied to them. Without conclusive pretensions, the objective is to qualify the process of territorialization of socio-economic relations in Brazilian space from some theoretical bases, among them, the concepts of: territorialization, urbanization, metropolization, social fragmentation, agency and capture of political structures and by economic agents; emphasizing that planning can be problematized from the State institutions responsible for its operation. In order to do so, it is based on the analysis of the distribution of the population contingent in the municipalities, highlighting the extremes and the diversity that it assumes. It is also made a retrospective of the bases of the State and, therefore, of the municipality in Brazil. The critical view of reason sensitive to purely quantitative and dissociated observation of the actors and analyzed reality is adopted as epistemological support. It seeks to raise concepts and authors that serve to build a panorama of the situation of the municipality in Brazil and some processes relevant to them. The result is listed in hypotheses emerging from the analyzes that provide the construction of new questions, these, then, the starting point for more elaborate studies.
