A inserção do psicólogo no acolhimento em uma maternidade pública de alto risco: quais são as demandas?

Abstract

Welcoming is one of the main guidelines of the National Humanization Policy (PNH) of the Unified Health System (SUS) and brings as a proposal the recognition of the place of another, aiming to establish an exchange relationship between patients and health professionals. Being considered a change strategy in health care, the Reception performed by a Multiprofessional Team allows understanding the patient in its entirety, considering the social, physical and cultural environment in which it is inserted. In the context of prenatal care, it can constitute an important stage, such as receiving pregnant women in a health service. It was considered that the insertion of the psychologist in the Multidisciplinary Reception can favor the patient's bond with the teams and the institution, enabling continuous care and implication of each subject in their care. The aim of this study was to discuss the place of the Psychology professional in the Multidisciplinary Team of Reception in a High Risk Public Maternity, based on the identification and understanding of the demands psychological issues that arise at this moment when pregnant women enter prenatal care. this from of the reports contained in the medical records of the patients treated. It is, therefore, a study qualitative descriptive, with document analysis, in which they were taken as sample data the records in the medical records of the patients who went through the Multiprofessional Welcoming with the presence of a psychology professional. It was observed that the demands were presented in in a diverse and broad way, showing that the presence of the psychologist at the moment of Reception enables a space for creation, in addition to providing a qualified listening environment about issues that mark the beginning of a pregnancy and prenatal care. Concluded- that the presence of the psychologist in Reception impacts on the ways of building together with the patients and the team the care demands, as well as possible referrals.
