Usuários de uma biblioteca universitária: estudo realizado no Instituto de Filosofia e Ciências Humanas da Universidade Federal de Pernambuco

Abstract

Through the application of a questionnaire users of a university library are analysed in their patterns of library utilization and information gathering habitudes. The answers are viewed as related to the Departments to which the users belong and as related to their qualification in the University: teachers, graduate students or undergraduates. With the application of Goffman’s method the Conditional Probabilities of Intercommunication between the Departments are fixed, the elements used for the calculations being the subjects chosen by the readers, in a list previously prepared and included in the questionnaire
