Desenvolvimento local, integrado e sustentável: a experiência da Secretaria Municipal do Habitat do Rio de Janeiro

Abstract

The paper proposes to contribute to the process of reflection on the strategy called integrated and sustainable local development, which has been applied in several Brazilian municipalities, based on the critical analysis of the preparation of the Integrated and Sustainable Local Development Plan - PDLIS - Jardim Our Lady of Grace. By tracing back the historical and conceptual milestones surrounding the formulations related to the DLIS strategy, the methodological procedure for its execution and the characteristics of the experience object of study, the article intends to construct a critical analysis about the implementation of a PDLIS in order to apprehend some alternatives to urban planning, with emphasis on local potential and shared management.
