Mulheres, maternidade e o sofrimento psíquico: uma questão de saúde pública

Abstract

Through a clinical case, we propose a study onthe relationship of the women to the maternity hospital practices with women, and the health system, particularly the network of maternal and child care, with mothers, women and pregnant women with severe psychological distress. Therefore, we address the mental suffering from the perspective of Freud and Lacan, with an emphasis on female sexuality, the father's name concept and possible treatment in the clinic of psychosis. Starting from the psychoanalytic formulations, which propose a new concept of the subjet, we reflect on the place of the individual in contemporary society and in health practices, considering the humanization of childbirth movement and birth, in Brazil, and the results shown by the survey in Birth in Brasil (FIOCRUZ, 2014), which indicate the need for change in the Brazilian obstetric model and the advances proposed by the National Policy for Integral Attention to Children's Health (PNAISC, 2014), which extends the promotion and protection of child health, pregnancy until the age of nine years, recognizing and considering that in this period of development, the caregiver must be accompanied by full, “with an attentive listening and comforting regard professional, targeted at both and the link established between them”. We postulate, finally, the construction of a method that promotes better understanding and acceptance of mental health of women in maternity wards, reducing the effects of discrimination and social segregation
