Sobrevida preta: necropolítica e resistências no Brasil oitocentista

Abstract

This essay aims to present a historical reading about the social and political construction of the nineteenth century Brazil, focusing on the ethical conflicts that occurred at the national territory in this same period. Based on the foucauldian concepts of race war and biopolitics; the concept of necropolitics from the cameroonian philosophy Achille Mbembe; and on the bibliographic discussion about the history of Brazil in the XIX century, it is sought the approach, from on side, of the development and the practice of racial oppression in the brazilian state structure and in its civil society, and on the other side, it is conducted an analysis of the mechanisms of resistance and fight of black people, enslaved and free, to resist to the brazilian necropolitics of the XIX century. The essay is concluded with the characterization of the profile from both poles of the ethical collisions approached: the negrophobic and necropolitical profile of the national and social management on one side, and on the other, the waddle of the black resistance profile on behalf of the maintenance of life and freedom.
