Abstract

The process of rural-urban migration that occurred in the last 30 years together with the fall in the purchasing power of the population and the lack of effective public policies, which really meet those who most need housing, cause in the Brazilian cities the formation of informal occupations, whose growth has occurred alongside regulatory frameworks and adequate infrastructure. This study aims to promote an evaluation of the land regularization process in the Municipality of Juiz de Fora (MG), having as a case study an irregular occupation located in a public area, located in the neighborhood of Milho Branco, promoting a brief history of this process until reach your current situation.
