O planejamento do cuidar: descortinando a atenção no alojamento conjunto

Abstract

Objective: Understand the planning of care in rooming-in. Methodology: This is a research with a qualitative, descriptive approach, carried out with postpartum women and health professionals from the multidisciplinary team, from rooming-in, in a school maternity hospital in the city of Rio de Janeiro, through qualitative interviews. The content of the interviews was analyzed using the content analysis of Minayo, Deslandes and Gomes (2009). Results: Care planning for postpartum women and newborns occurred within different groups of professional categories and was validated in a multidisciplinary team. Health professionals recognized and valued the importance of the presence of the woman's chosen companion during the puerperal period, however, this subject was not included in the articulated care planning, nor was he seen as a beneficiary of the puerperal period. The postpartum women identified the nursing team, among the multiprofessional team, as the professionals most present in the effectiveness of caring for themselves and the newborn. They had positive experiences during hospitalization in rooming-in and declared quality care for her and her baby, based on welcoming, attention, listening and dialogue. Conclusion: Rooming-in is an interactional care space, which works to prevent, promote and recover the health of mothers and newborns. It is important to include a more integrated care plan, having as characteristics the articulation of care planning in a horizontal way, with the participation of users and professionals from the multidisciplinary team.
