Modelos para análise estrutural de defensas pneumáticas utilizadas em operações ship to ship

Abstract

In this work the structural analysis of a pneumatic fender, used in ship to ship transfer operations, is compared to the analysis done for analytical models of a cylinder and a sphere being pressed by flat and rigid surfaces. Models of membrane composed of elastic and hyperelastic materials were developed and numerically solved, combined with the study of the frictionless and no-slip contact considerations. The results analysis showed that the structural behavior of the cylindrical elastic membrane is similar to the fenders structural response for low deflections values, and the modeling needs to be adjusted for convergence of the results for larger deflections values.
