Saneamento básico e justiça ambiental: um mapeamento temático das obras do Programa de Despoluição da Baía de Guanabara

Abstract

The paper aims to understand the spatial distribution of investments in basic sanitation, by the Guanabara Bay Clean - up Program - PDBG, in light of the principles of environmental justice, since one of the characteristics of infrastructure policies in Brazil has been the spatial inequality of investments. With the use of geoprocessing, it was possible to create thematic maps, allowing the crossing of information in a better level of detail, thus giving the necessary conditions to locate and analyze the spatial distribution of PDBG investments, comparing the access of different social classes to equipment and basic sanitation services.
