Otimização de serviços em redes atendidas por enlaces satélites

Abstract

The communication allows the man's discoveries are shared and improved, several inventions become increasingly fast and democratic the propagation of information, such as the telegraph, the telephone and the Internet. Currently, optical fiber is the main channel that allows the flow of data, because of its high bandwidth, however, since it is not possible to meet all demands, for example a mobile communication and the provision connection in locations where the installation is economically unviable. Satellites links come meet these niches because, depending on the height of its orbit, they can serve large areas, however, this communication channel has some limitations such as low bandwidth and high propagation delay of the data. This work aims to present some proposals to use optimization of a satellite link from the reduction in consumption of your bandwidth for networks that use it, through the use of appropriate tools and specific configurations on servers, which will allow an improvement in the service offered to the end user.
