Abstract

This is the final paper for the Multidisciplinary Residency in Perinatal Health, at the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro. This paper focuses on the elements involved in the gestation process in the face of difficult news, which indicated the possibility or existence of fetal complications – and, in this context, verify the therapeutic effects produced by writing, through the use of a Journal. To this end, the qualitative method was utilized, gathering data through the focus group technique, which was then analyzed from the Bardin content analysis. Data from this study suggest the confirmation of our hypothesis, that writing and narrative exercised as the construction of the DB, and expressed in groups of pregnant women, contribute to the gestation process after receiving difficult news.
