Os sistemas de organização do conhecimento no campo da infocomunicação: uma proposta de análise de domínio e do Glossário de Conceitos Infocomunicacionais do Grupo de Pesquisa InfoCom

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the Infocommunication domain based on concepts, trends, research in the field and the knowledge organization system. For this purpose, approaches suggested by Hjørland (2017) were selected, such as the analysis of the production and evaluation of special classifications and thesaurus; and the criterion of document and genre studies in knowledge domains. In order to analyze the knowledge organization system, the Glossary of Infocommunication Concepts (InfoCom) was selected. As a result, Infocommunication is related to some areas of knowledge, such as Information Science, Communication Science, Library Science, as well as being linked to some subjects based on digital technologies and scientific and technological information. It is concluded that the Infocommunication domain is establishing itself as an interdisciplinary field of study, and brings rich contributions from areas such as Education and Communication to Information Science. The Knowledge Organization System analyzed can be used as a reliable source for the community interested in related subjects.
