Eficiência, desregulamentação financeira e crescimento econômico: uma abordagem pós-keynesiana

Abstract

This paper discusses the conventional statement concerning the deregulation of financial systems and its role on the economic growth. It is stated that these policies will, on the one hand, help to eliminate the restrictions on savings and, on the other hand, help to create more efficient financial structures. We show that the growing instability related to these policies can offset their positive allocative effects, mainly because the new financial instruments that follow these policies are instrincally speculatives.
