Inteligência artificial no diagnóstico por imagem

Abstract

The objective of this e-book is to provide information about the applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in diagnosis through imaging exams in Dentistry, as well as presenting tools available to undergraduate students and dental surgeons. This e-book provides information based on existing scientific evidence and discusses the performance and reliability of this tool in clinical dental practice. In addition, links to access free software and tutorials on how they are used were made available. It was concluded that most studies present promising results but require final supervision by a professional. Future studies are needed to explore specific applications, making AI tools reliable to integrate the clinical practice of oral radiology, providing efficiency and assertiveness in diagnosis, eliminating the need for inspection of the task by a professional.
