O sujeito cognoscente entre o tempo e o espaço

Abstract

Between time ans space, the investigation of the subject of knowledge finds its impasse. In the history of the psychological ideas, the theoretic models oscileted between the spacial and temporal paradigms, in the effort of trying to grasp the complexity of its object. Therefore it is a question of retracing the course of these ideas with the aim of highlighting the images about the subject of knowledge. From the mechanicist model engendered in the Seventeenth Century to the neomechanicism of the computer model of contemporary Cognitive Sciense, the same spacial image of the subject is found. But the impasse between the twoi paradigms gets stablished early in the history of investigation about this theme. The positioning of psychology between naturalistic-experimental and historical models shows an early form of how this impasse came about. This contrast remains in the contemporary theoretical scene, in which two models of science antagonize, each privileging one of those dimensions. Besides the neomechanicist model, other models provinient from the physics of dissipative structures to the biology of autopoietic systems ilustrate the way how the question of temporality is presented nowadays. This work intends to ponder upon the situation of the project of a science of subjectivity in face of this conflict.
