Pantheon: o repositório institucional da Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro como ferramenta de disseminação da produção científica

Abstract

Introduces the institutional repository of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, named Pantheon, as a tool for the dissemination of scientific production. It aims to characterize the university's institutional repository, pointing out its characteristics, applicability and functionality. It emphasizes its importance as a tool for scientific communication and the dissemination of technical-scientific production. In the methodology, a descriptive survey of a qualitative and quantitative approach was carried out. To collect the data, a search was made on the Pantheon website in order to obtain the data of the types of documents deposited. In the results, we pointed out the policies for accessing and using documents in the repository, as well as the quantity of documents deposited, according to the type of material. It concludes by stressing the importance of the use of the repository for the visibility of the university's scientific and technological production and also its actions as a tool in promoting access to and democratization of technical and scientific information.
