A crise de mobilidade urbana no Rio de Janeiro e as perspectivas de mudança da conjuntura atual

Abstract

The article aims to weave an analysis over the crisis of urban mobility in the city of Rio de Janeiro, tracing an overview of the immobility situation; the factors that led to the current conjucture and; the implementation of the BRT technology system in the city, a timely and satisfactory choice to mobility issues. The relevance of the choice of this problem arises from the fact that this is a physical (due to traffic congestion) and social barrier to access to basic rights of any individual, taking by means the circulation as a way of contemplating the right to the city, going through the appropiations, constructions and significations attributed to the city by it's individuals who make use of it through mobility in urban space.
