Abstract

This work aims to present the composition of a writing of Black bodies, quilombola territories, and the feminine in aquilombamento (a quilombo-centered becoming), through their images. To do so, I took a reverse path: I returned to Quilombo Cruzeirinho, in Natividade-RJ, located on the RJ-214 highway – which connects Natividade to Raposo (a district of Itaperuna-RJ) – in search of reconnecting with my ancestral roots. I was deeply affected by the escrevivências (written-lived experiences) and daily quilombola practices, which led me to a fabulation of writing presented here as a "devir-feminino" (becoming-woman). This movement allowed me to question the construction of methodology and data production, resulting in the script for a short film. This film, the central part of the dissertation, articulates a screenwriting of Black women who were fundamental in my process of aquilombamento – with their womb-bodies, guidance, and horizon; women whose dreams and struggles shape the constitution of a collective and communal memory. Speaking about this corpus that inspires and drives us has been, for us, a way of expressing diversity beyond identity – through performances, networks, bridges, and confluences. Thus, this work elaborates an epistemology that allows us to articulate, through screens and words, what may constitute a despacho (ritual offering) of dissertation writing – one that, in its becomings, touches, affects, and liberates us.
