Percepção do cuidado assistencial por pacientes e médicos no pré-parto e parto

Abstract

The assistance care during periods of pre-natal and childbirth itself are the main themes of this work due to the relevance that these moments represent the experience of pregnancy for the woman and everyone involved. From this perspective, our overall objective was to investigate the perception of welfare care for patients and health care physicians, comparing the perception of both on the attention paid during the periods of pre-natal and childbirth. The specific objectives intended to: a) identify and analyze the perceptions and conceptions (assigned meanings) of medical professionals and mothers on the timing of pre-natal and childbirth; b) to compare and analyze the differences in perceptions and conceptions of both , mothers and medical professionals on the care provided; c) analyze how these possible differences can relate to professional care and the experience of laboring women. As a result we can see that the most frequent reports of the mothers was the perception of pain in labor and delivery. The use of anesthesia was cited as pain relief. The duration of the pre-delivery and delivery time was also very mentioned by women. Previous experiences were also mentioned as well as other perceptions. The health team was praised for its assistance for patients characterized as very friendly and helpful. Looks like the touch of the cervix, episiotomy , prenatal care and guidance provided by the staff were cited. Since the doctors said that the direction the woman is the primary responsibility of the medical team . technical aspects and comfort of the patient were also important factors mentioned. The multidisciplinary team also appeared in the reports as well as comprehensive care at this point and breastfeeding. Doctors reported the cooperativeness and happiness of patients. The main intervention of doctors was calm patients and guidance provided to them. Finally, a comparison was made of the speeches of the patients and the doctors who attended to compare their perceptions according to a specific goal.
