Cortante longitudinal em vigas de concreto com mesas comprimidas

Abstract

This work consists of an experimental study about the longitudinal shear problem in beams of reinforced concrete with compression flanges. It is included a brief summary of the design methods and tests published earlier, and also the recommendations of some codes of practice related to the subject. For the experimental study five T-beams were tested. These beams were simply supported and loaded with two symmetric loads over the web breadth. On the basis of this study and results of earlier tests, comparisons lead to some conclusions about the design of the reinforcement of web-flange connections.
