Abstract

Hereditary Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) is a condition that presents many oral findings and requires a special treatment approach in terms of oral health. To provide adequate preventive and curative care, the dentist must be aware of the disease, its types and subtypes, in addition to identifying and managing the oral manifestations of this condition. Therefore, this e-book aims to provide dentists with basic knowledge about hereditary EB, its oral manifestations and the main guidelines for dental management. Recently, oral health care recommendations for patients with EB have been published, which follow the international consensus for the dental approach to patients with the disease. The information contained in this e-book takes these recommendations into account, adapting them to Brazilian reality.
