Estudo da ABNT NBR 15575 quanto à sustentabilidade e ao desempenho dos revestimentos cerâmicos em fachadas

Abstract

The durability of ceramic coatings on façades is closely linked to the quality of the application of sealing components and compliance with the criteria established by ABNT NBR 15575. The relevance of this topic stands out due to the frequent pathological manifestations observed in buildings, such as cracks and detachment, which compromise the service life and sustainability of constructions. This dissertation aimed to investigate the application of the standard within the context of the construction industry, focusing on the durability of ceramic coatings. A quantitative approach was adopted through the use of a structured Likert-scale questionnaire, electronically distributed to engineers, architects, consultants, and suppliers. The survey was complemented by a bibliographic review. The data collected were statistically analyzed to identify critical factors associated with the recurrence of pathologies and to assess the effectiveness of the normative guidelines in supporting professional practice. The results highlight failures in the selection and application of materials, worsened by the lack of preventive maintenance, and propose guidelines that promote compliance with the standard, contributing to more durable and sustainable buildings with lower environmental impact.
