Abstract

Death is an event that occurs more frequently in motherhood than we might assume. The loss of a baby inverts the perspective of life that the parents will leave before their children, impacting the mental and physical health of the family, which often does not find social support or assistance services for their pain and grief, leaving them without referrals or a care plan even in the face of such a loss. Pregnancy and neonatal loss support groups on social networks have been a space that has been woven as a welcoming place for women and families. The present research made a survey of the groups, interviewing previously selected representatives in order to know the services they offer and the unfolding of their performance in the spheres of public policy, care and culture about the experience of death
