Estudo experimental sobre os efeitos da retração em peças de concreto armado

Abstract

The aim of this work was to check the applicability of the solution presented in [1] for the calculation of shrinkage effects in reinforced concrete members (stresses in the concrete and in the reinforcement and curvature). For that, seven models of the same dimensions were cast. Two of them were unreinforced and five reinforced, having as variable parameters the percentage of reinforcement and its distribution in the cross-section. Standard samples were also molded in order to determine the characteristics of the concrete along the time. Strains were measured in the concrete and in the reinforcement. Based on comparisons between the experimental results and the theoretical ones derived from the solution proposed in [1], some conclusions related to that solution are presented.
