O velho e o novo: reflexões sobre as novas formas de uso e ocupação da área central do Rio de Janeiro

Abstract

From the observation of the transformations involving the modernization and renovation of the central area of ​​Rio de Janeiro in the last two decades, the present study proposes a debate about the new forms of occupation and use of the soil in the central area by private capital, these being supported by a requalified image of the Center based on a "new scale of values", where the old reference values ​​the new, and produced by public and private agents.
