Sorrisos protegidos: direitos de mulheres trans em situação de violência

Abstract

The "Metamorfose-se" collection consists of six educational booklets designed for women experiencing gender based violence. Using accessible language and grounded in legal and social frameworks, the material aims to inform, support, and guide women regarding their rights, the legally recognized forms of violence, the cycle of abuse, and available support services. The booklets cover a wide range of topics, from identifying abuse to understanding current legislation and accessing protection networks, including a dedicated focus on the specific rights of transgender women. This initiative is part of the extension project "Dental Care for Women in Situations of Gender-Based Violence: Projeto Metamorfose", developed at the School of Dentistry of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). The collection stands as a concrete action for the promotion of comprehensive health, citizenship, and human rights, in alignment with the values of public education and socially engaged university extension.
