Gravimetria aplicada a uma porção da Bacia Austral: sistema de falhas Magallanes-Fagnano

Abstract

The bibliographical research was based in several themes involving stratigraphy, historical geology, structural geology and the petroleum systems of the Austral basin emphasizing the gravimetric method applied on the basin. The case study analyses the integration of the gravity, geologic and magnetic data integrated and try to delineate through a numeric model the main structural settings and the tectonic "scenario" of the south portion of the Austral basin called "Ilha da Terra do Fogo" more precisely in the Magallanes-Fagnano fault system.
