Estudo da ruptura de fundo de uma escavação escorada

Abstract

This dissertation presents stability studies of an excavation subject to bottom heave. Results of a geotechnical investigation including in situ and laboratory tests are presented. Seepage analyses under transient and steady conditions are performed to examine the effects of water flow on the factor of safety against bottom heave. The study includes parametric analysis to investigate other factors that besides the flow of water may explain the bottom instability of the case studied.
