Análise do controle da água em escavações pelo método dos elementos finitos

Abstract

The Finite Element Method is applied to steady state seepage analysis and to the dewatering of excavations. The analysis of open pumping and of water table lowering in cases with complex boundary conditions is possible by programs that determine the free surface location. The application of the method to cases with known solution shows good precision and the analysis of two water table lowering jobs show good agreement with field observations.
