A sondagem gama na verificação da integridade de estacas escavadas

Abstract

This work begins by an extensive review of the bibliography on pile integrity tests of piles. Available methods are compared among themselvs and, also, with the backscattering gamma logging, wich is object of the present study. In order to optimize the prototype probe, designed and built at COPPE-UFRJ, a series of different tests was carried out and the results were discussed in detail. In addittion, the main changes found necessary to improve the prototype are also commented upon. Finally, analysing all the experimental data, the possibilities of the gamma logging as a way of verifying the integrity of bored piles is discussed.
