Ambientes virtuais de aprendizagem utilizados como instrumento pedagógico de apoio às disciplinas do ensino médio: plataforma de aprendizagem a distância como instrumento pedagógico

Abstract

Considering that the research is a case study it was decided not to focus the study on any particular theory but it was not possible to avoid mention of authors that have contributed effectively to the issue under consideration, including José Manuel Moran. The objective of this research project was the development of the idea of transforming the use of the Moodle platform into a facilitator of teaching/learning, since it is a mode of study which could be applied to distance learning, by inserting content to make up the curriculum, which is not always possible to be applied throughout the school year. Participants in this project were students enrolled in the second year of high school, school CE Compositor Luiz Carlos da Vila. Also participating was the math teacher Hilton Miguel, the class teacher for this group. It was initially proposed to the class teacher, to study the contents of spatial geometry in a different way, so that it was not abandoned at the end of the year under pressure of lack of time available in the academic calendar. This proposal which was accepted by the teacher and created a platform for launching subject matter, videos, forums and exercises, so students could study and monitor the contents outside of school. With respect to access, on the part of the students, there were no difficulties as far as access to the equipment or access to the platform was concerned. However, although they indicated no difficulties, the students did not show much interest in accessing the platform to study the content posted. Few have done the activities and in return, the teacher also did not meet the expected and proposed objectives, which would be to correct and follow the development of activities done by students.The conclusion, by the completion of the project, which lacked effective monitoring and stimulation to arouse greater interest from students as well as it could be understood, was that the "time" factor for the teacher, in practice, was compromised. Still, I remain convinced that the idea of using this platform is positive and can be instrumental in extending the distance learning mode of study.
