A prova de redação e o acesso à UFRJ: histórias e desdobramentos

Abstract

This book presents this investigation as follows: in chapters 1 and 2, we deal with the history of college entrance exams and the specific context that led UFRJ to carry out its own exams from 1988 onwards; in chapter 3, we describe and analyze the evolution of this process, focusing on basic elements of writing tests: syllabus, relationship with Portuguese language and Brazilian literature tests, themes, types,2 2 UFRJ has always adopted the term type, not only in the commands of the tests, but also in the guidelines given to the evaluators and in the evaluation grid itself. We chose to keep the term when referring to the analysis of this item in the tests, avoiding the use of the genre category, which we use in other passages of the text. commands and evaluation; in chapters 4 and 5, we present data and evaluations related to the in uence that the tests had on the teaching practices of writing in basic education; and, in chapter 6, we suggest syntheses and developments for a new movement in the relationship between schools and universities. In the afterword, we comment on the decision taken by UFRJ to exclusively adopt the Enem as a selection exam, approved by the University Council (Consuni) in June 2011, when the originals of this book were already in the editing process. It should be clarified that, by decision of the author and editors, the original limits of the analysis presented in the study were respected, without additions or later adaptations.
