Barragens e mineração no estado de Goiás

Abstract

This paper aims to give a brief account of the struggles of those affected in the Movement of Dam Affected People - MAB in Goiás, seeking to understand their perspectives and challenges in the construction of dams designed and undertaken on the rivers and on the lives of hundreds of people who have long lived in the valleys of these rivers. From the history of the struggles of these people who become collective subjects from the invested capital on their lives it is possible to perceive also the articulation of the barrageiras companies with other sectors of the capital, like the mining. In view of the above challenge, it is sought to contextualize the organization of the Movement of the Affected by Dams - MAB in Goiás, from the organization of those affected in the river valleys. As a way of showing the relationship between capital and its different investments in natural assets, such as water, land, ores, it is sought to show the barrageira fever in the rivers of Goiás and the relation of these dams to the mining sector. Finally, some perceptions and challenges for the struggle and organization of those affected by dams in Goiás, as well as the advance and alliance of capital in the barrageiro and mining sector in Goiás, are placed before the analyzes carried out.
