Pericardite aguda: uma revisão bibliográfica - da apresentação clínica ao tratamento

Abstract

The present work aims to facilitate the understanding of the topic – acute pericarditis – by describing the clinical presentation, changes in laboratory, electrocardiographic and imaging tests. The diagnosis, possible etiologies, therapeutic approach and monitoring of patients diagnosed with this condition are also described. A search for articles that described the subject was carried out, with priority being given to guidelines and review articles to support the bibliographic review. A study of the pathology was then carried out according to the research and reading of documents that dealt with the topic, thus developing a succinct review of the subject. Therefore, it is a disease studied in a superficial way, taught only briefly during graduation and, due to this, little diagnosed, but of great importance in terms of medical learning, since knowledge about such condition facilitates the institution of correct diagnosis and treatment.
