Resumo
This research aims to create a short film based on point transformations, strongly inspired by the experimental animations of René Jodoin, whose works explore movements and relationships between geometric shapes. To achieve this, the dynamic geometry software GeoGebra is employed, enabling the animated visualization of transformations associated with polygon dissections. The study is grounded in the work Geometrografia 2 by Virgilio Athayde Pinheiro, in order to establish a rigorous theoretical foundation for the definition and understanding of point transformations. The adopted methodology combines bibliographic and documentary research, covering the historical context of Jodoin’s work and the underlying mathematical formulation, with an emphasis on the principles of differential calculus. This study is expected to have an educational character. Additionally, it seeks to contribute to future investigations on the intersection of geometry, algebra, and animation. In this context, it aims to provide new insights into visually compelling and accessible representations of mathematical concepts through digital media.
