Abstract

This study summarizes the main aspects of policies, legislation and publications in the context of comprehensive maternal and child health care. It briefly addresses some important considerations about Public Health in Brazil from the context of the Sanitary Reform, with the Federal Constitution of 1988 and the construction of the Unified Health System (SUS). Next, a framework is created, systematizing the publications of the area, aiming to contribute to the field of public health in a general way, through continuous qualification, by a constantly updated multiprofessional work, both in the theoretical and practical scope, having as background the watchful eye of the work of Social Work: while my area of professional performance.
