Em tempos de pacificação, por que a guerra? um estudo sobre a subjetivação do processo de pacificação no Vidigal

Abstract

The present work aims to study the subjectivity of pacification process at Vidigal’s slum, placed in Rio de Janeiro. From an in situ observation it was possible to find that the period referred has been crossed by resistance of the inhabitants towards de policy unity and from this organ towards the inhabitants. Were used as theoretical support the theories of Michel Foucault, and the text “Why the war?” written by Sigmund Freud in order to try to understand the situation. It was possible to conclude that according do Theory of Instincts an Microphysics of Power Vidigal’s population understand the pacicifation process as a symbolic violence similar to the control of drug dealers who used to dominate de slum earlier.
