A Coleção Documentos Brasileiros na Biblioteca Octavio Tarquinio de Sousa e Lucia Miguel Pereira: análise e tratamento

Abstract

Evidence the importance of the Brazilian Documents Collection, published by Livraria José Olympio, taking as its object of analysis the inserted volumes in the library formed by the intellectuals couple Octavio Tarquinio de Sousa and Lucia Miguel Pereira. It points indicatives of rarity and importance in the light of the possession marks and the editorial features of the works. As methodological procedure, were adopted literature reviews, the material description of each bibliographic item, application of the fixed location system and the subsequent cataloging of the the works in the library management system used by BMJVS. The research is supported on studies of Fonseca Junior and Vasconcellos (2011), Franzini (2006) and Oliveira (2017) in order to emphasize the peculiarities of the library formed by intellectuals, and of the specimens inserted in this context.
