Resumo
This study analyzes the conservative discourse of Luiz Felipe Pondé, based strictly on his books published between 2010 and 2019. The objective is to identify the main ideas he advocates, the positions he opposes, and to critically examine his discourse using Albert Hirschman’s typology. The research adopts a time frame that corresponds to the period in which Pondé expanded his presence beyond academia, addressing a broader audience. The study is based on a detailed reading of his works from this period and grounded in the theoretical framework of the sociology of knowledge, particularly the works of Karl Mannheim, Peter Berger, and Thomas Luckmann. The findings reveal the presence of a global-local tension in his writings, where local and global issues intertwine without clear distinctions. The study concludes that analyzing the thought of such a significant contemporary conservative author in Brazil contributes to a deeper understanding of political and cultural debates in the country today.
