Análise de estruturas reticuladas espaciais com barras de eixo curvo e seção variável

Abstract

The present thesis deals with a computer program for the solution of space framed structures. Their unidimensional elements may have straight or curved axis, and constant or variable sections. The cross-section may be of any shape, provided it has at least an axis of simmetry. When this condition is not satisfied, the final results are only approximated. Curved axis elements may be circular, parabolic or assume any other form of plane curve. Curved elements may have start or end releases and their supports may be either rigid or elastic. It is also possible to analize structures having elements of different materials. This program was developed based upon Gere and Weaver and on theses already existing in COPPE. The computer program is listed and examples of its application are shown.
