Abstract

This document reports the preliminary results of the survey carried out on real estate development in the city of Rio de Janeiro. It intends to study a group of agents that intervene decisively in the spatial development of the city: the incorporators. These agents, acting in the land and real estate markets, play an important role in the formation and renovation of the urban space.
