| Abstract: | O trabalho apresenta, primeiramente, uma introdução acerca do tema - Favela, sendo uma pequena referência à origem histórica e a evolução das favelas na região metropolitana do Rio de Janeiro. Em seguida, tratará da evolução do pensamento do planejamento no que diz respeito às áreas de favela no município de Niterói, para posteriormente analisar a metodologia utilizada pelo IBGE e a utilizada pela prefeitura municipal no que diz respeito a conceituação de favela e consequentemente examinar a evolução dos dados dessas instituições. |
| Abstract: | The paper presents, first, an introduction about the theme - Favela, being a small reference to the historical origin and evolution of favelas in the metropolitan region of Rio de Janeiro. Next, it will deal with the evolution of planning thinking regarding the areas of favela in the city of Niterói, to later analyze the methodology used by the IBGE and the one used by the municipal government with regard to the conceptualization of favela and consequently to examine the evolution of those institutions. |
