Instrumentos econômicos e pagamentos por serviços ambientais no Brasil

Abstract

This paper maps and discusses the main economic instruments being implemented in Brazil. Most part of these instruments derive from public policies or regulation, but the set of initiatives promoted by companies, non-governmental organizations and local communities is quite significant. In addition to presenting and discussing the instruments, lessons are drawn from the initiatives and a set of recommendations is suggested for various sectors, seeking to stimulate debate and reflection on the maturing and consolidation of these instruments in the country.
